The branches bring tangible fruit
But the seed buried underneath the roots is invisible.
What is outward reflects what is inside.
When the outside is consistent with the inside,
Honesty is found.

While gourmet meals may not guarantee enjoyment,
A simple diet may lead to healthy living.
Be content with small things
And we will be satisfied.

"A tiny dewdrop reflects the glorious sunrays.
A small bundle of flowers narrates the wonder of creation.
Amazement is found everywhere;
Joy is close by." ....adapted

All things nice

Everything is about competition, even radio stations.
Suddenly, radio persnnels are multi-tasked and they becomes food experts. What happens to the good old days where they spinned records and throw in some facts and knowledge about the artists.
Leave the food to the food experts and concentrate on doing a good program. The basic radio core competence is going, going, gone...

City of Babel

With more influx of foreign nationals, the city state is becoming to be the biblical Babel.
Especially in the local supermarket, you could hear foreign tongues talking loudly into mobile phones. The cool comfort and conducive environment is broken where noise is not needed here…

Live Earth

The recent 7-7-07 Live Earth concerts for the earth climate crisis takes a dramatic turn of event.

More rubbish than ever were discarded after these concerts. More energy and time were spent to watch the 24 hours marathon event. So much to say about preventing climate change...

Hyper-Jump

The ever technological changes in the world today brought about new challenges.

Computers operating systems (OS) for instance; we have Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista. The Window people are inventing other innovative ideas before we even get to use some OS before its obsolescence.

As for me, the OS that I used are hyper-jump to the next OS bypassing the normal trends of the OS family...

A Balance of All Things

Life is a circle without beginning and nobody knows where the circle ends…

All religions teaches us to be good. Many of the main religions concepts are basically the same. They are the creation of forces and going in circles. The positive and negative elements of the ying and yang, which have the balance of forces in the universe. The karmic cycle of death and rebirth. The never ending life cycle.

Friends can become enemies and enemies can become friends. The actions and reactions. We are responsible for the consequences for our actions. It is only a matter of time to reflect and see that the truth unfolds…

Plastic Bags

On going campaign to use usable bags and less plastic bags.

Long ago, we were told to bag our refuse due to hygienic reasons. Now, we are told to use less of these plastic bags as they harm the environment. It’s not economically feasible, as the sellers had already factored in these overheads and we would have to bring many reusable bags for our groceries.

They should made it mandatory for the manufacturers to make only bio-degradable plastic bags instead of blaming on the consumers…

Basic Courtesy

Talkback program on the recent radio program about interviewers and their experience.

The so called big titles; like human resource director and so on.., wonder they know the basic courtesy as a professional to at least inform the interviewees the outcome of the job status.

This is even worse when they are interviewing a senior post. Wonder where they got their training from…
On Level Playing Field

Due to confidence in the market environment, influx of foreign funds and favourable investment conditions, our local growth has never been so good.

It’s tick for tack now as the FTs and FWs are crying foul. They are here because of the higher exchange rate compare to their home currencies. They are able to enjoy the sudden newfound creation of jobs for them.

Previously, if the locals were not willing to accept the level of pay as dictated by the employers, they were told that another FTs or FWs can be easily replaced them. Once they are settled down, it suddenly dawned upon them that the things are not so cheap like their home countries.

If they live here like the locals, then they are spending at the current local rates. The lack of foresight by these FTs and FWs. Pure economic sense! Enough said…

A Fine Year - What Goes Up and Never Will Be Down

Civil servants will have their pay packets increases, GST will also increase, Hawkers will increase the prices of food.

One item remains constant; private sectors' workers will bite their teeth harder

Doctors' fees will be liberalised. Its make sense to bring in the FT doctors. It time to self medicate as in some other countries.

What a fine year this is going to be...
